Wondering what the best options are for getting your eyelashes done? You must have a few questions like : What to care about before booking your appointment? Don’t worry I got you covered…
I have tried out Lash extension and Yumi lash lift recently. My very first post will explain the differences between the two and help you find the best option for you.
So what is YUMI lash lift?
A YUMI lash lift is the best alternative to lash extensions and falsies. They do not use perm and ammonia solution unlike other types of lash lifts. It enhances your natural lashes by lifting them while having them curled to give you the perfect volume.
Pros:
- Gives a natural look
- Straight Lashes become curled
- Lasts for 2-3 months (depending on your lash growth cycle)
- You can rub your eyes and put on mascara
Cons:
- If you have fewer or short lashes, curling the lashes won’t pop up much
What is a Lash Extensions?
They are semi-permanent lashes that are glued on top of your natural lashes by a technician. They don’t come in a strip like falsies and they look real as they are applied one by one.
Pros:
- Makes your lashes look fuller
- Extends your lashes length
- Perfect for short lashes
Cons:
- Can’t rub eyes (false lashes will fall off)
- Can not apply mascara
- Good lash extension applications last 2 hours
- Have to brush them everyday
- Lasts 2-3 weeks before you need to get a refill
What to care about before your lash lift appointment
You will find inexpensive lash lifts between the range of $60-80. Those might not last more than a month and they could damage your lashes with the reduced quality of their product. Some product may contain ammoniac which could be harmful for your beautiful lashes.
What to care about before your eyelash extensions appointment
Many salons don’t pay attention to your natural lashes. Your lash extensions should never be more than twice the length and the width of your natural lashes. There are a few risks about eyelash extensions if you choose the wrong sizes… Let me explain…
You can be damaging and giving trauma to your lashes without even knowing! This can also result in lash loss (sometimes permanently)! Not more than one false lash should be glued on your natural lash. Sometimes you will see salons that will glue 2 to 6 extensions on one single lash without considering the length and width of it too. So be careful about that!
I really hope this was helpful and educated you a little bit more about your precious eyelashes. Which ever treatment that you decide to choose, please feel free to ask questions about the procedures to your technician!
